Wine Class: How to Taste Wine
We've taught lots of classes here at Whisperer focusing on grape varieties, regions, and even our sense of smell, but we haven't actually taught a class about tasting. This class will cover some basics like how wine pros taste wine and what exactly they are looking for. If you're out for an introduction to wine or even a seasoned pro looking for a refresher, this is a great class on fundamentals.

Winesday: Borgogno and Casa Mirafiore
We’ve got the Italians back in the house for Winesday on February 26 as we welcome Stephano of Borgogno and Casa Mirafiore to the tasting table. We’ll pour through some incredible whites and reds from Piedmont that you definitely need to try! A longtime favorite of Whisperer, we’re delighted to welcome Stephano for the first time!

Join us for another foundational class that will teach you the meaning behind oft mentioned wine words, how to read a wine label, and what to look for in a restaurant wine list. These basics are often overlooked in the realm of wine education, but they are essential to building a good foundational knowledge of wine and can unlock a world of wonder!

Wine Dinner: That's Amore
When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore! We're transforming Whisperer into a classic Italian Ristorante for one night only and offering a fun pre-fixe menu with amazing Italian wines. Seats are $100 per person (including tax and gratuity) and include a four course meal with six wine pairings. This should be a super fun evening! (Must be 21+ to enjoy the wine!)

As of 2021, it was estimated that only 17% of winemakers in the United States are women. If you take that to a global level, the percentage is a touch higher, but not much. We're taking March to celebrate the women who make our wine. Highlighting people like Heidi Peterson Barrett - a pioneer in her own right - and Mathilde Poggi - a legend to independent winemakers in the EU - we're hoping to shine a brighter light on the women who are shattering the cellar ceiling.

Sometimes, however, we have to abbrieviate a discussion if it deviates too much off topic. We've got a solution though: Ask a Whisperer!

Join Jenna in the Whisper Room as she digs deep into the famed valley (and one of France's largest wine regions) and guides you up river from Lower Loire to Upper Loire. You'll sail through Anjou-Samur, Touraine, and Sancerre, making stops at Pouilly Fume, Reuilly, and Côtes Roannaises. Valentine's Day at Wine Whisperer
Reservations for Valentine’s Day are now open! We’ll be offering two seating times (5:30 pm and 8 pm) again this year. A prix fixe menu of four courses will be served at $95 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Optional wine pairings will be available for an additional cost, as well as wines by the glass and bottle.
