Holiday Tasting Table

We’re big planners at Whisperer, and we’re big fans of wine tastings, so we figured we’d combine these two pastimes into one exciting package with our annual Holiday Tasting Table.

Join us in the Whisper Room and the bistro as we welcome several of our favorite partners-in-wine to pour their picks for all your holiday celebrations. Formatted much like our popular Winesday tastings, these casual soirees will introduce you to dozens of new wines and some incentive to stock up early for the holidays. As an added bonus, all wines ordered on either November 2 or 9 will arrive in plenty of time for Thanksgiving.

Floating tastings. $20 per person. FREE for wine club members! We’ll have multiple vendors pouring throughout the shop.

Join Christine Mercnik of Grace Under Pressure for an incredible tasting of Special Club Champagnes.

The Club Trésors de Champagne, founded in 1971, is a unique association gathering 24 independent winegrowers of the Champagne region. These passionate artisans share common values and defend the quality and typicity of their terroir. The club is the only organization in the Champagne region that selects its members according to rigorous criteria, including the elaboration of the vintages in the cellars of each winemaker, the exclusive vinification of the harvest of their domain and the submission to rigorous tastings by a jury of oenologists and wine professionals.

Jenna has selected seven champagnes from Christine's portfolio to showcase for the evening. If you're as much of a fan of bubbles as Jenna is, you don't want to miss this tasting.

We’ll be offering our “What is Terroir?” class twice: first on Tuesday, October 1 at 7 pm with Jenna; second on Saturday, October 5 at 3 pm with Amber.

Meet the Producer: Argiano

Meet the Producer: Argiano

Join Margherita for an in depth tasting of five incredible wines from Brunello and Tuscany paired alongside some small bites from the Bistro kitchen. We’ll have two tasting sessions: one at 6 pm and one at 8 pm.

Argiano's wines have been known since the late-16th century, when the noble Pecci family built a lovely villa and adjoining cellar (which still serves as their headquarters today). Since 2013 the estate is owned by Brazilian entrepreneur André Esteves, who relaunched the range, entrusting production to Bernardino Sani and Francesco Monari. Now Argiano is one of the most eco-sustainable wineries in Montalcino. Plastic-free since 2019, it practises organic agriculture by banning even natural pesticides in the vineyard, and reuses all the waste produced in the cellar. What is most striking when tasting Argiano wines is a style that we could define as exquisitely contemporary. This for aromatic cleanliness, finesse, fragrance, with an increasingly faithful and defined territorial transparency, yielding wines that offer at the same time a marked pleasure to drink, with medium body and increasingly light and precise tannic extractions. The leap in terms of quality over the last 5 years is truly impressive.

This tasting is for the Italian wine lover!

$50 per person. Limited seats available. Purchase tickets here.
