We’ll be putting Jenna’s and Amber’s pairing skills to the test in what we hope will be a recurring prix fixe menu event at Whisperer! Enjoy five courses plus an amuse from the Whisperer Kitchen, alongside more wine than you could possibly imagine! This fun event is a fun reprise of last summer’s PNW taste-off and not-to-be-missed.
Designed with difficult food pairings at the forefront, the Stump the Somm Menu is as follows:
Chef’s Amuse ( a surprise for guests!) plus an Aperitivo
First: Endive Salad with blue cheese, walnuts, and strawberry balsamic vin
Second: White Fish with roasted garlic and chili bok choi
Third: Cajun Shrimp Skewers
Fourth: Barbeque Short Rib with salt roasted potatoes
Fifth: Key Lime Pie with Chantilly cream
Aside from the Amuse, each course will be paired with two ones, one selected by Jenna and one selected by Amber. Pick your favorite, and we’ll crown a Pairing Champion for the first dinner!
