We kick off May by welcoming owner and winemaker, Michael Lundeen of Lundeen Wines. A native Oregonian, Michael has been perfecting his craft for almost two decades, having also spent time developing his career at Domaine Serene, Willakenzie, and Belle Pente. (In case you’re not as nuts about Willamette Pinot as we are, that’s a pretty killer resume.)
From the time Michael and his father planted the first Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris vines in 2001, Poverty Bend Vineyard has been both the heartbeat of his wines and the catalyst for a future to come. Michael’s original vision of naturally handcrafting expressive and elegant wines in the Willamette Valley has since grown into a 20+ year career.
Lundeen Wines have been a favorite of a few Whisperers for sometime. While the Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays and Pinot Gris are all outstanding, it’s the sparkling wines that are truly transcendent. We can’t wait to introduce you to Michael and pour through these wines for you.
This program is a part of our regularly scheduled Winesday tasting. Stop by anytime between 5 pm and 7:30 pm to meet Michael, taste some wine, and purchase a few bottles. No reservations required. $20 at the door.
